We love steak. And this marinade was YUMMY! I was even able to let the meat marinate for 12 hours which made it extra flavourful.
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder
3 tbsp. dried basil
1 1/2 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. ground pepper
1 tsp. minced garlic
I mixed all ingredients in a bowl with a whisk, then poured the marinade into a large Ziploc bag. I placed the meat in the bag and put it all in the fridge. I was able to let it marinate for 12 hours but I would suggest at least 2 hours (but the longer the better — within reason of course).
I was even lucky enough to get 2 beautiful strip loin steaks on sale at the grocery store yesterday, which inspired the need to find a new marinade to try. Would have been better barbecued but I just fried the steaks in the frying pan on medium heat.
