3-2-1 Microwave Cake

Craving a sweet treat but don’t want to make a whole cake? You should try this single serving cake recipe that only takes a couple minutes to make and is beyond easy!

The Recipe:
1 box Angel Food cake mix
1 box any flavour cake mix

1. Mix the 2 cake mixes together.

2. Add 3 tbsp. of cake mix to a microwavable mug. Add 2 tbsp. water. Stir well. Microwave for 1 minute. (Hence the 3-2-1)

3. Store remainder of cake mix in a sealed container to enjoy at another time.

4. Eat the cake out of the mug as is or serve with scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, fruit, whatever!

My Experience:

My boyfriend’s mom made this for us the other day after supper and I loved it! She sent us home with half of the cake mix and I have had about 3 servings since then. She used Devil’s Food cake as the other cake flavour but of course you can use any kind. The Angel Food cake is needed though and gives you a nice, fluffy cake. Ours were served with whipped cream.

Tip: Make sure you stir really well. I got a layer of dry cake mix at the bottom which wasn’t overly tasty. I haven’t made that mistake again.
